This project is a very emotional one. I layouted a magazine about forced marriage in Austria. I wanted to bring attention to the topic, since it is not really talked about.

It was important to me to reference the topic throughout my design choices. The infographics I made each have a scan of a textile in the background. I did this for two reasons:
Firstly, the lace texture immediately signifies a wedding and secondly I think it creates a layer of intimacy, that fits the theme of domestic violence. The fonts used are very contrasting in order to reflect the imbalance of power. The two columns of the magazine intertwine, again in order to refer to marriage and the way you can get caught in one.
